BAE Systems Technology Solutions, Hardware Engineering is seeking an mechanical engineer to join the Advanced Microwave Product (AMP) Center team with the development of micro-electronic devices, MMICs and or amplifier modules. The candidate will work in a multi-disciplined microelectronic team environment including Foundry, MMIC design, Amplifier design, and production. The candidate must have the required technical skills and education, as well as a strong interest in RF/Microwave Power Amplifier Design. Experience with GaAs / GaN technology, thermal interface materials, CTE management, and thermal design for high power GaN amplifier devices is preferred. The candidate will design amplifier modules and assemblies as well as lead small teams during product development and transition to production. Design experience with densely packaged high power amplifiers, associated thermal management, and production considerations for cost as well as proficiency with the applicable design tools, including AutoCAD, Pro-E, AnSys, etc is required. Experience with transitioning these product into high volume production is a plus.
