BAE Systems is seeking talented Principle Level Software engineers who are looking for a company that fosters a work environment in which technical excellence is highly valued. You will be an integrated team member collaborating with System, Hardware, and Test engineers in one or more of the phases of Project Planning, Requirements Development, Design, Development, Integration and Testing. You will apply your skills to develop high-quality real-time embedded software for either new or fielded electronics platforms.
Duties include developing complex Radar Warning and/or Electronic Attack software architecture and designs on projects. You will be leading the evaluation of complex Radar Warning and/or Electronic Attack software designs to identify design flaws. You will lead real-time, embedded software development in C+
utilizing sound Object Oriented principles and conforming to existing code development strategies and processes. You will prepare design documentation intended to be used within complex programs or across sets of programs in accordance with established processes. You will utilize either a Windows PC or Linux based software development environment. Embedded targets could range from PowerPC to Micro Blaze to the latest technologies. You will be integrating and testing in the selected target test environments.
You will provide Software Project Management reporting, documentation and providing updates to Program Management. You will be the Software Technical Leader or Software Project Manager on small project initiatives (1-5 Engineers). You will participate in external project interactions with other companies.
You will support the business development efforts. You represent the organization as the prime technical contact on contracts and projects. You will brief the customers' regularly on technical concepts and establish relationships with current and potential customers. You will generate ideas for potential proposals and will be responsible for sections of proposals.
You will be reporting to a Section Leader.
