Job Description:
MAIN POINTS OF FOCUS:
Prospective candidates will have Manual testing experience / Web Services Testing (Soap UI) / Oracle HR/Payroll experience preferred
Prefer candidates with tenure to their positions. Not interested in someone who has held 5 position in the last 5 years.
Prefer candidates within a commutable distance to NH, but will look at others if the person hits most of our requirements.
The Quality Assurance Engineer will support and participate in the daily testing and quality assurance activities for technology projects.
The candidate will be responsible for working with resources located in multiple locations, including New Hampshire, North Carolina, India and China.
The ideal candidate will have solid experience with QA processes, Test Case development and Execution, with strong relationship building and communication skills.
Experience in Oracle HR/Payroll, Web/Web Services Application testing and SOAP UI are desired.
Primary Responsibilities
Plan, design and execute test strategies for small and medium projects, or for specific areas of larger projects
Provide Testing Estimates
Participate in defect triage and test status meetings
Develop core knowledge Small Market Payroll systems and the supporting applications.
Partner with development teams and internal QA and Business associates to plan for and execute test cases, including providing input release content sign-off
Manage the execution of all QA deliverables throughout the lifecycle
Manage the logging and resolution of defects in collaboration with development partners, utilizing a standard process and tool set
Document and maintenance of Test Cases in Quality Center (QTP)
Participate in department initiatives for process improvement, including test automation opportunities
Execute regression test activities, both manual and automated
Provide status reporting on the quality of project deliverables
Support Production Install validation, include off hours and weekends
Education and Experience
Minimum 4-6 years of experience in a Quality Assurance role
Proficient in software development lifecycles, including Agile methodologies
Knowledge of Oracle HR/Payroll and Web/Web Services Application Testing preferred
Knowledge of Oracle, SQL, SOUP UI technologies
Exposer to working in a UNIX environment
Skills and Knowledge
Demonstrated ability to design and execute QA and testing initiatives
Strong collaboration and influencing skills
Ability to work both independently and within a team structure
Understanding of test automation, including how to maintain and build automation scripts
Tools: Quality Center (QC11) , ClearQuest, SQL, SOUP UI, Microsoft Office suite
Exposer to Agile and/or Waterfall project lifecycleEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
