Performs extremely complex assembly or modification tasks on electronic and mechanical components, subassemblies and systems. May provide technical support for Engineers working in a research or design/development environment. Primary focus on space systems circuit cards.
Required Skills and Education
Requires four (4) to five (5) years of electronic assembly experience. Must achieve specified solder certifications in various assembly/soldering techniques per Company and customer standards. Able to interpret and use wire lists, schematic diagrams, process sheets/route cards, and technical drawing package (i.e., ECO's and PRN's). Able to make complex assemblies utilizing build-to-print skills. Able to use small hand tools and complex tooling (i.e., Hot Gas reflow machines, hot plates, and drills). Able to set-up and operate various equipment (i.e., CS-600 insertion, forming tools, Ovens, Screen printers, SMT machines, Cleaners, Braker riveting machines, and bonding equipment). Able to use measurement tools and devices such as using micrometers and calipers. Able to perform simple testing. Able to cross-train and instruct other assembly positions. IPC-610 Workmanship Certification. J-Std-001 Workmanship Certification. Previous NASA-6739 Workmanship experience.
