Jacobs/TEIMS software engineers are responsible for developing the next generation mission planning and execution applications used by our Department of Defense clients. Our software is used daily to plan re-supply and humanitarian airdrops around the world, provide air-to-air refueling services to fighters, bombers and cargo aircraft and create mission critical navigational data for loading to the flight management systems. Our engineers have opportunities to visit active air bases, work aboard USAF aircraft and interact with pilots, navigators, loadmasters and other crew members to define, design and implement the tools our military men and women need to complete their jobs.

Responsibilities:
Our Nashua, New Hampshire location is growing and needs innovative and solutions-oriented Software/Sustainment Engineer who is interested in enhancing their career. Candidate's duties & responsibilities would include, but not be limited to, the following;
Customer support and answering questions in regards to a client server arrangement as priority task
Creates and maintains applicable Software, Software Development Patch Plans, Unit Test Plans, Test Scripts with Test Data, for each appropriate application.
Performs technical tasks to include requirements, design, code and unit test activities. Applies advanced technologies, scientific principles, theories and concepts in related technical disciplines or in a specialty.
Supports resolution of technical issues as they arise.
In addition to software engineering activities, provides support for the preparation (including briefings, metrics and status reports) and attendance of technical and managerial meetings and reviews as well as any other travel activities specified by the program.
Completion of employee performance appraisals and employee counselings, if assigned the responsibilities of employee supervision.

Qualifications:
Key knowledge, skills and abilities required:
Knowledge of a wide variety of hardware/network troubleshooting and evaluation activities highly desireable. Skill to apply the standard practices of hardware/network troubleshooting instructions to help resolve field issues.
Knowledge of, and skill in applying basic software engineering principles and practices sufficient to perform highly structured, entry-level work designed to develop broader and more in-depth knowledge and skill needed to perform higher-level assignments; communicate factual and procedural information clearly, orally and in writing; and gather and analyze basic facts and draw conclusions.
A working knowledge of computer programming with direct experience and ability to learn computer software languages including using Visual Studio, C# and JAVA and/or multiprocessor software applications and distributed computer networks.
Use of computer systems with Microsoft Windows operating systems
Education, Training and
Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and (0) years related work experience is preferred.
Working knowledge of computer programming with direct experience with Visual Studio, C#, and JAVA.
U.S. CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED. Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Physical Requirements:
Work is primarily sedentary. Some walking and standing may occur in the course of a normal workday in connection with travel to and from meetings and conferences. May carry light items, such as reports, data products, notebooks and laptops.
Work Environment:
Work involves an inside office environment/cubicle. (Considerations: closed quarters, close together, limited lighting). Independent transportation necessary to support work requirements and to arrive at work site. No hazards on job site or any unusual environmental condition exists.
Equipment and Machines:
Personal computer (75%), scanner (5%), copy machine (5%), telephone (5%), laser printer (5%), fax
machine (2%), and other office equipment including desk supplies.
Attendance:
With the exception of STD/LTD/FMLA & approved time off, attendance is considered essential. Must be able to work within the shift hours of 6am and 6pm.

Essential Functions:

3) Must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner to get along with customers, clients, co-workers and management.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
