We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Engineer for our Automation Team. The successful candidate will be a bright, resourceful automation / test engineer possessing the ability to work in low level storage array test environments. The candidate must be a team player who has both excellent communication and documentation skills. Candidate will be responsible for both new development and support of automation services for stakeholders internal and external to a quality assurance organization. Candidate must have experience automating web applications and tools in an object oriented framework. Candidate must be a highly motivated self-starter who can work well independently and interface with development, quality assurance, and customer support organizations.
Responsibilities:
Automate, distribute, and support storage array applications.
Leverage existing automation framework to deliver applications in a timely fashion.
Track, document and communicate assigned program status.
Report, track and verify defects found in test environments.
Partner with Engineering to plan for new functionality and design automation next generation solutions.
Requirements:
Independent, hard working, creative, focused, and organized.
Knowledgeable in distributed Client / Server architectures.
Well versed in QA test methodologies.
Working knowledge of Virtualization Technology (VMWare preferred).
Proficient in Object Oriented Python & Pyramid.
Comfortable in other scripting language (perl)
Comfortable and experiences with Java, Javascript, and Ajax
Design and Implementation Database components (MySQL)
Experience across multiple operating systems (Windows, UNIX/Linux based platforms)
Qualifications
3-5 years experience in manual or automated QA test environments.
5-7 years experience in automation development
BS/BA in computer science or equivalent work experience.
Excellent communication and documentation skills
Excellent debugging and triage skills
