FUNCTIONS / DUTIES / SUPERVISION:
Serving as a first line functional supervisor for a group of Hardware Engineers performing FPGA Verification work.
Performs FPGA verification functions on contracted programs.
An individual at this level should be demonstrating the leadership ability to lead large work groups or program teams.
Participates in the hiring process and is responsible for developing, counseling and evaluation performance of subordinates.
SUPERVISION:
A. Responsibilities for Work of Others
Is a first line functional supervisor for a group of Hardware Engineers.
B. Supervision Received
Work is performed without appreciable direction. Regularly exercises discretion and independent judgment in technical areas. Exercises considerable judgment in determining objectives and approaches. Completed work is reviewed from a relatively long-term perspective for desired results.
WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:
A. Within Company
Primarily internal to the Business Area. Ability to work in an Integrated Product Team (IPT) environment is a norm.
B. Outside of Company
Frequent contact with customers, contractors and government officials. May act as supplier technical point of contact for hardware item development.
FINANCIAL
Responsibilities:
May suggest expense items for department budget. May provide input to proposal cost estimates. May be assigned Cost Account Manager (CAM) authorities.
Required Education:
Bachelors and 12
