Job Description F35 Production is seeking a Program Quality Manager.
This quality leadership position is responsible for managing the effective execution of the F35 program while driving compliance to our Quality Management System.
The Program Quality Manager will partner and work closely with Program Leadership and supporting organizations to drive the health and compliance of the program.
The manager works closely with Quality Leadership, Program Management, Operations, Contracts, and Finance in assuring compliance to business processes and contractual requirements.
A thorough understanding of quality management and program management is required to achieve program goals as well as identifying early warning indicators in support of Quality, Cost, (COPQ) and on time delivery.
This position oversees Program Quality team.
Manage all Program Quality functions and the development and maintenance of Quality Plans Ensure flow down of contractual/technical quality requirements to the organization using effective program planning.
Develop/lead short and long-range strategic plans related to all Program Quality functions.
Provide internal and external leadership briefings when required.
Participate in Cost of Poor Quality defect reduction and continuous improvement activityAttend program meetings/reviews to communicate and support program quality issues.
Identify Program Quality trends and develop/incorporate improvement opportunities, corrective actions, and other remedies.
Utilize problem solving techniques to identify root cause and institutes corrective actions.
Oversee adherence/development/maintenance of internal procedures associated with Program Quality.
Support all necessary internal and 3rd-party audits.
Develop/Mentor Program Quality personnel using training or similar initiatives.
Provide oversight of timely corrective action responses to the customer.
Build and maintain an effective business relationship with customer (DCMA and LMA).
Required Education, Experience, & Skills Bachelors Degree in a technical field and 10 years work experience Self-starting problem solver with a fact based focus on continuous improvement and a demonstrated history of leadershipStrong and demonstrated communication skills (written, verbal, visual) and interpersonal skills (listening and communicating within a group/team)Enjoys working with and coaching Quality professionals and other cross-functional team members to continuously improve execution successStrong understanding of Quality Science tools (APQP/PPAP, 8D RCCA, Statistical Process Controls, Lean Six Sigma, Auditing) along with relevant industry standards (AS9100, AS9102, AS9145)Provide internal and external leadership briefings when required.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills Experience managing program quality efforts in support of government contracts.
Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt CertifiedFormal training in root cause analysis is preferred.
Pay InformationFull-Time Salary Range:
$140690 - $239140Please note:
This range is based on our market pay structures.
However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to:
business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
