Summary:
The Director of Office Administration partners with the Pastor in the accomplishment of the church's mission through planning and administration and initiates auxiliary support to First Baptist's ministry teams.
The Director coordinates major publications on behalf of the church, answers phones, relates to church membership, and manages the church office and building use.
Main
Responsibilities:
Serve as the church office administrator including the oversight and ordering of office supplies, church supplies, custodial supplies, and supervision of office equipment and building issues.
Participate in event planning including fundraising activities, advertising and coordinating with event planners.
Coordinate the church calendar, scheduling church meetings and events.
Serve as primary liaison with outside groups renting or using our facilities, maintaining rental contracts, and managing those activities on the church calendar.
Update and oversee all data in Breeze web-based church management system.
Maintain oversight of keys to the church building, issuing and retrieving keys according to the church policy, which includes maintenance of a current and accurate list of individuals who have keys.
Produce the weekly church worship bulletin, weekly email blast, zoom email communications, weekly prayer list, and special service bulletins and publications, as needed.
Generate reminders to church members regarding upcoming events.
Manage production of the church annual report and member directory.
Advertise upcoming events in local venues, as needed.
Coordinate with the Pastor & in-office volunteers to maintain posts on the street sign.
Handle all basic office operation including mail, email and phone messages Update and maintain the FBC website Core Competencies:

Qualifications:
Computer Skills Required:
Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and Internet; Google Suite:
Calendars, Drive, Google Docs, and Canva (preferred) Communication Skills:
Strong communication skills required.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memoranda.
Ability to write simple correspondence.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills in English required.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to church staff, congregation and the general public.
Certificates, Licenses and/or Registrations:
None; Prior Church Experience preferred Terms:

6 hours per week, 9AM - 12PM on Wednesdays (or Thursdays) and Fridays Compensation:
$20/hour Compensation is paid monthly or bi-weekly as decided by the Director through submission of invoices to the Senior Minister and payroll administrator.

Vacation time should be requested and approved, at least one month in advance.
The Office will be closed on the following holidays and are not considered vacation days:
New Year's Day, MLK Day, Easter Monday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Friday after Thanksgiving, and 2 days off for Christmas.
