Telemetry Exam on Arrival: Expected to use calipers, interpret various rhythms including but not limited to; sinus rhythms, arrhythmias, blocks, paced rhythms, life threatening arrythmias. The test is closed book, proctored, and has a 60 minute time limit Reduced rate for local travelers apply Travelers are not considered if they have been a former employee at any facility associated with Solution Health regardless of length of separation or duration of time worked at health system
REQUIRED SKILLS / CERTS / EXP:
Minimum Years of
Experience: 2 years - All ED experience with in the last 3 years.
Traveler
Experience: Unit does not accept first time travelers
Locals Accepted / Rate Difference: Travelers located within 50 miles of facility will receive a $15 rate decrease
Skills: Telemetry, Triage
Certs: ACLS, BCLS, NIH, Graduate from an accredited school & NH Licensure
PREFERRED SKILLS / CERTS / EXP: PALS, TNCC, 6 hour of stroke education
JOB DETAILS:
Target Ratios: 1:4
Shift: 12hr Nights 7p-7:30a, 36 or 48 hours accepted
Float Requirement: Helping Hands/ Team Nursing approach Will assist in being Floated to ICU and similar units Patient Sitting
You will not take a patient that does not match your clinical assignment or team
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend required
SPECIAL PROCEDURES / UNIT DETAILS: As a member of the Patient Care Services team, the Emergency Services (ES) Registered Nurse cares for pediatric and adult patients presenting with a variety of illnesses, injuries or trauma. The ES RN specializes in assessing, intervening and stabilizing patients in situations that require critical clinical decision-making skills. The registered nurse successfully completes a competency based orientation program to become proficient in serving the Emergency Services patient population.
