Teach with Power Scholars Academy:
We hire certified teachers to deliver our summer curriculum (BELL) or to lead enrichment programs during the summer.
Tutor with Power Scholars Academy:
We hire qualified educators, college-students, and community members to support classroom instruction and scholars' learning experiences.
POSITION
Summary:
The summer learning program is designed to address summer learning loss for low-income children living in urban communities and thereby enhance overall youth development, academic performance, and graduation rates.

Outstanding verbal, written, and technological (computer/internet) skills.

Love and respect for children.
Evidence of efficacy and willingness to be a team player.

Responsibilities:
Developing and implementing appropriate enrichment classes for assigned grade levels.
Preparing classrooms for daily activities and collaborating with academic teachers and teacher's assistants to ensure that objectives are reached.
Using BELL curriculum Maintaining accurate classroom records.
Maintaining an organized and efficient classroom.
Adhering to all Power Scholar Academy and district professional expectations and compliance issues.
Creating a positive, achievement-oriented, organized and engaging learning environment.
Motivating and holding scholars to high academic and behavioral expectations.
Providing consistent rewards and/or consequences for scholar behavior grounded in positive discipline.
Empowering scholars to make positive choices and serving as a role model.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
