BAE Systems, Precision Guidance and Sensing Solutions (PGSS) Product Line within the Precision Strike (PS) Business Area has an immediate opening for an experienced Systems Engineer specializing in support to our production efforts in our THAAD Missile Seeker program.
In this position, overall engineering leadership of the production program activities will be expected, including the interfacing with the production staff, understanding the system requirements and learn how the product is built, leading discussions on any failure analysis efforts and executing the Failure Review Board process.
Driving to root cause on any failures.
This also includes interface to BAE Subcontracts, other Engineering disciplines, and suppliers for the system, should any of the system failures be attributed to a supplier assembly.
The ideal candidate will work with other subject matter experts assisting with the failure resolution approaches, discussions with our prime customer and the US Government representatives.
In addition, this role will be expected to learn and grow their technical knowledge in becoming a Subject Matter Expert in the product.
This role requires the candidate to be an outgoing, well-connected self-starter with a desire to grow the organization.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills Experience in working with production teams, understanding Acceptance Test Procedures/Software.
Experience with subcontractor interface, along with integration activities Familiarity with failure analysis activities, Root Cause Corrective Actions (RCCA) teams, Failure Review Board process, to include ability to drive to root cause of anomalies and the corrective actions for the particular failures being monitored.
Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Operations Research, or Computer Science A Secret Clearance is required for this position Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills Experience with developing and delivering Failure Reports and Manage a Failure Review Board Ability to Identify potential risk areas, develop plans / recommendations for risk mitigation Experience with missile systems and guided projectiles Ability to communicate effectively with peers, senior leadership, and other functional disciplines such as Quality, Operations, Supply Chain, along with Project Management Officers Ability to understand CONOPS for missile systems Exposure to the development, integration, test, qualification and production of complex electro/mechanical systems Experience with parts management activities and overall material process Master's degree in engineering discipline Pay InformationThis position is covered under a Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), which will determine your wages.
