Role Details:
BAE Systems is looking for a first line Test Engineering Section Lead/Manager for our Integrated Test Engineering Department in Nashua, NH.
The successful applicant will be responsible for supervising 8
engineers with various engineering backgrounds (software, electrical, mechanical).
This is a Player-Coach model position, and the expectation of the role will be the ability to guide and mentor their employees in all technical aspects of their assignments and evaluate current and future employees on their skill level.
Other responsibilities of this role include assisting with project planning and execution, and management / development of the assigned workforce.
The applicants must have successfully demonstrated project and personnel leadership skills in prior assignments.
This position requires relevant leadership experience to support teams that develop production test solutions including all aspects of establishing semi-automated production test capabilities for production sell-off.
Test solutions include test stands, test equipment interfaces and test software that automates/semi-automates the test environment for complex electronics manufacturing.
This Test Section Lead/Manager must be a motivated team-oriented individual with strong problem-solving abilities and people skills that support collaboration across multiple disciplines within the business.
Specific Skill Sets We Are Looking for:
Leadership, mentorship, team collaboration, and technical interchange with customers.
RF Test hardware design and architecturesUnderstanding of FPGA and firmware design from a testing aspectJTAG/Boundary ScanProject management for test solution projectsControl Account Management Please note that pursuant to a government contract, the specific positions requires US citizenship status Required Education, Experience, & Skills Bachelor's Degree (Computer Science, Computer, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering) and 10
years' work experience (min) or equivalent experience Possess good communication skills including interpersonal communication and team communication Ability to provide leadership and mentoring to a team of Test Engineers while successfully collaborating with other managers or engineers from other disciplines Experience performing / leading teams in test solution development:
Software Focus (drivers, utilities, executives, and test software) and Hardware Focus (test adapters, cables, tools, and interface modules) Identify personnel requirements and support the development and execution of staffing plan Manage, coach and mentor staff members, provide technical and career development guidance.
Test solution software development and integration Takes initiative and has a closure-oriented nature Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills Masters Degree (Computer Science, Computer, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering) Experience in the test of RF networking, communication, electronic warfare or countermeasure systems Experience in the development and integration of factory production test stands including problem isolation and resolution.
Experienced in using test instrumentation (Network Analyzer, Spectrum Analyzer, Signal Generators, PXI-based instruments, etc.
) Programming Languages:
Experienced in C#, NI TestStand Experience working with an Earned Value Management System (EVMS) Active DoD clearance Pay InformationThis position is covered under a Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), which will determine your wages.
