9K a year 1 day ago 1 day ago 1 day ago The Quality Inspector is an integral part of NewPower Worldwide and is responsible for electrical component inspections, documentation, and assisting with conforming/non-conforming decisions throughout the quality control process.
More specifically:
Responsibilities In conjunction with the warehouse/ receiving team, conduct inspections of inbound electronic components and identify non-conformances and potential counterfeit.
Document the inspection process through thorough digital photography, microscopy, and other methodologies.
Make conforming/non-conforming decisions on electronic components based on results of the incoming inspection and report these results to Quality, Warehouse, and Commodity Managers.
Communicate any non-conformances to the appropriate management and purchasing teams.
Help create any customer-required documentations, including Inspection Reports, Certificate of Conformance, and other inspection-related documents.
Research datasheets, historical recipes, and other sources as needed.
Maintain and or achieve IDEA ICE-3000 certification.
Assist with shipping / receiving when needed.
Requirements Bachelor's degree and or 1-3years' experience in quality/engineering Working knowledge of QC principals and standards Experience with ESD compliance is a plus.
IDEA ICE-3000 Certificate a plus or ability to obtain in 6 months of employment Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers, vendors, and customers.
Willingness to pitch in and get any job done as needed.
